June 23, 2025 #ContentChat Recap: Why Even Small Teams Need Content Governance

In this #ContentChat recap, Erika Heald hosts the second installment of the summer shorts series, spotlighting a crucial topic for every content marketer: content governance. Erika dismantles the myth that governance is only necessary for large enterprises and offers a compelling case for why even solo marketers and small businesses should have content fundamentals in place.

Having templates, defined workflows, and a brand style guide makes it easier to bring on help and reduce the time spent on approvals. “If you want to scale what you’re doing, content fundamentals are a must,” she explained.

“Because we had those fundamentals in place, we were able to outsource our recap creation to AI,” Erika noted. “Even though we’re a team of two, we’ve scaled like a much larger team.”
